It is very important to Christie that each customer walks away knowing that the piece they are collecting is the only one like it in the world.

Here is a small excerpt from Christie explaining her inspirations behind The Workman's Daughter:
"My life as a child was spent in my dad’s garage. He owned an auto body shop down by the rail road tracks and I loved being there. I loved learning about the different tools. I loved watching him drag in cars that had been completely totaled and somehow watching him make them beautiful again. I loved watching the dirt and grime wash off my hands into the sink after helping him work. I loved learning how to weld and use all the different tools. These are the things that molded me. That took me on this path. I always knew I was supposed to be a creator. And it’s because of him. Because of these experiences. It is so deeply ingrained in me that there is no other way. I will always have dirt under my nails and calloused hands. Because I am the Workman’s Daughter and I was raised this way. It’s in my bones. Now as an adult, I take those skills and memories to turn grit and dirt into beauty. A beauty that you can carry with you to build your own story. I write the beginning so you can write the end."
